Scholarship & Refund Policy

Scholarships Available for all Programs

Depending on students’ circumstances and their academic record, KIUST students can apply for scholarships and/or subsidies of between 25%-40% reduction in study fees only. However, the Learning Centre administration fee and KIUST examination fee remain fixed.

HOW TO APPLY: To apply for a Scholarship, you should complete the application for admission on the ABMTR / KIUST website. If your application is successful you will also be informed whether or not you are qualified for the Scholarship that entitles you to be paying less than the tuition fees that are specified on the website:

Students Refund Policy

~ As a general rule KIUST students are required to pay their fees two weeks prior to the commencement of the semester. Every semester students pay for the number of units they enroll for in that semester or pay their fees in installments. When studying through a Learning Centre, the total Tuition Fee specified here (which covers the teaching and the examination fee) is paid directly to the Learning Centre by the student because the Learning Centres provide lectures and tutorial support classes to students. The Learning Centre issues receipts bearing its name.

~ If a refund is required, the Learning Centre is the one responsible for the refund. Learning Centre will refund all payments made by a student if: (i) The course/unit is cancelled, or (ii) Commencement of the course/unit is postponed for more than four weeks.
~ Students are not entitled to a refund after commencing the course/ unit.

~ NOTE: If a student withdraws from the course/unit or program prior to commencement, the Learning Centre that enrolled the student and collected the fees will refund the full Tuition Fee paid by the student.

~ After a student has commenced the course/unit or program there is no refund of Tuition Fees. However, the student may use the Tuition Fees to study another KIUST course/unit or program offered in the Learning Centre.
